The EU's “Clean Vehicle Directive” specifies that 45% of buses in regional public transport in Germany must be low-emission by the end of 2025, and at least half of them should even have a completely emission-free drive. To improve the air quality in cities and regions and at the same time strengthen climate protection, this guideline must be taken into account when awarding public transport contracts from mid-2021. However, it is also possible to convert buses from the existing fleet. And for this, we offer tailor-made electrical retrofits with the latest hydrogen fuel cell technology. Diesel-powered buses become fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

The FCEV conversion of buses offers several advantages. Compared to a new building, a lot of resources are saved with converting as the most economical and ecological solution. In addition, bus drivers do not have to adjust to a new type of vehicle. Currently, there are no offers from the brands most frequently used in this country so that when buying a new bus you would first have to switch to other manufacturers. In addition, this solution enables large transport companies to later convert their series vehicles themselves at their own depots. This secures jobs in workshops and enables the companies to handle larger quantities.

Transport companies that would like to convert their buses to an emission-free drive following the new "Clean Vehicle Directive" can apply for funding and a large part of the additional investment costs will be reimbursed. We would be happy to advise you on this!
